The Morningside Opportunity Fund, Inc. was formed for the charitable and educational purposes of supporting the education and professional development of graduates of New York high schools who have limited financial resources and a demonstrated commitment to academic success.
The Foundation will provide students who meet our selection criteria with scholarships and other financial assistance for undergraduate and graduate programs, and other professional development opportunities. We operate primarily in New York City and in nearby counties within the State of New York.
Recipients of our grants will be graduates of New York high schools, selected from among applicants for matriculation in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university, accredited by a body that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Recipients will demonstrate commitment to academic success, be in good academic standing, and have limited financial resources.
The Foundation is sensitive to undergraduate and graduate students’ need for meaningful opportunities to develop and enhance their professional experiences. To support students in furthering these goals, we may provide financial assistance to students undertaking special projects that will build relevant skills and develop their professional resumes.
